My first "Extreme" trip to couponing was to CVS on July 13, 2011.
Here is a run-down of the deals I found! The deals get SWEETER as you go down :)
- Crest 3D White Mouthwash (which I ALREADY buy)
Regular price: $4.99 per bottle
Sale Price: 2 for $7.98
**Coupon used: $.75 off 1 bottle
(Used two coupons because I was buying two bottles)
Final Price: $3.24 per bottle
-Herbal Essences "Tousle Me Softly" Mousse/Spray
Regular price: $4.99
Sale Price: $3.21 (clearance)
**Coupon used: $3 off when you buy 2 Herbal Essence products
(Bought 4 bottles total: 2 for sale price at $3.21, two with the coupon for $.21!)
Final Price: $1.71 per bottle
-BIC Soleil Razors (Which are my FAVORITE!!)
Regular Price: $7.99
Sale Price: $6.79
CVS Special: Buy one, get one half off
**Coupon used: $3 off BIC Soleil Razors
Final Price: $1.89 per pack
^CVS allows use of coupon for both purchased regular price and one half off. So, I bought one pack for $6.79-$3.00= 3.79, and the half off price was $3.39. The coupon brought the second one down to $.39.
-Pantene Pro-V Shampoo
Regular Price: $4.99
**Coupon(s) used: $3 off Pantene product (manufacturer coupon)
$2 off Pantene product (CVS coupon)
Final Price: FREE :) (Plus they owed me a penny!)
CVS allows use of one manufacturer coupon (ones from SmartSource/RedPlum/P&G from the newspapers, or some found online) AND a store coupon on the same item.
Other not-so-noteworthy coupons I used were off deodorant (just needed some- it wasn't on sale). Also, I had $5 "Extra Bucks" from CVS credited toward my total. (These print off of receipts for ExtraCare card users.) I was so excited to walk out with $10.30 in-store savings and $25.50 saved just from the coupons I had clipped and brought in. :)
